Overview

In this session, you will better understand the subgroup of experienced multilinguals, the assets-based term for Long-Term English Learners. These students have been in our schools for at least 5 years and are at intermediate stages of language development. You will experience and apply strategies to amplify content texts, build literacy across the curriculum, and make connections with these students’ linguistic, cultural, and experiential assets.
