100831 - STEAM Agri Code Summer Camp
Overview
Get ready to dig in and innovate at AgriCode: Engineering Sustainable Solutions, a hands‑on summer camp where real-world problem solving meets agricultural engineering. During this 5-day adventure, rising 8th - 12th graders will tackle real-world challenges, collect data at the Virginia Tech’s Catawba Sustainability Center, experiment with technology, and apply the engineering design process to develop sustainable solutions. Using tools like CAD, programming, and electronics, they will transform big ideas into practical prototypes that showcase how innovation can shape the future of agriculture. The week wraps up with teams proudly presenting their creations—proving that sustainability and engineering grow best together!
Class led by VT Roanoke Instructional Specialist, Dr. Kimberly Mattson and VT Roanoke STEAM Lab Manager, Mr. Don Pizzullo, Mr. Matthew Wagner, Catawba Sustainability Center Farm Manager, and guest presenters.
