Teaching English Learners with Learning Difficulties in the Inclusive Classroom TOT is intended for three-member teams to include:
1) English as a Second Language,
2) Special education, and
3) General education teacher or administrator.
The focus of the two-day training is to provide research on the challenges facing English learners (ELs) with learning disabilities and to build an understanding of the instructional skills necessary to implement an achievable, research-based set of strategies to tailor academic instruction to meet the individual needs of these learners. Participants will have opportunities to develop their team’s action plan, utilize templates and tools, and create learning sessions or mini-workshops to be delivered within their respective school divisions.
