Description

A professional development institute for 21st CCLC grantees offering out-of-school time projects funded under Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), Title IV-B 21st Century Community Learning Centers.  The institute is designed for project managers, coordinators and practitioners.

The theme for the 2023 21st CCLC Spring Institute is Closing the Achievement Gaps!  This year’s Spring Institute will inform, engage, and impact all of those who participate and the communities they serve. Eliminating academic achievement gaps and creating a programmatically balanced 21st Century Community Learning Centers is an obstacle that current and potential grantees face on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.  Every 21st Century Community Learning Center program is different. It is critical that we take the time to educate ourselves on how to teach, inspire, challenge, and motivate our students. Closing achievement gaps is more about supporting and challenging students on a personal level instead of a systemic approach. It’s about enrichment and fueling the need and desire to learn. As educators, we can build on children’s strengths by supporting them and challenging them to excel.

Join us and be professionally developed by some of the most knowledgeable educators and professionals from across the Commonwealth. The institute will be highlighted by keynotes from renowned speakers.
