Overview
Join us in February as Virginia Tech and the Virginia Department of Health Office of Drinking Water offer a unique learning opportunity, Basic Groundwater Course for Small Systems in Newport News, VA. This intensive, three day course will focus on the following topics:
- Water Sources
- Safety
- Sample Collection & Analysis
- Operation & Maintenance
- Regulations & Record Keeping
- Basic Math & Calculations for Waterworks
This course is designed for the benefit of Class V and Class VI water operators, however all Virginia Water Operators are welcome to attend. Classes and lodging will take place at the Marriott Town Center in Newport News, VA. Attendance fees are $100 for daily commuters and $150 for participants requiring lodging. Classes include single occupancy lodging (if requested), refreshment breaks, lunch, a flash drive with course materials, and dinner on the first night.
