Overview

Welcome to the 13th Annual Commonwealth of Virginia's Children's Services Act Conference!  This year, we are Unlocking Our Potential by building strong and trusting relationships, accessing tools integral to organizational change, and embracing new challenges.  We are hoping to both reinforce the value of the system of care as well as challenge participants to “take it to the next level” through honest self-reflection and exposure to content reflecting the overall mission of the CSA: “Empowering Communities to Serve Youth.”

Please join us October 16-17, 2024 for two days of impactful training, vendor visits, and activities focused on the resiliency of Virginia's CSA community, the changes in child welfare arising from various initiatives and national trends, and the evidence-based practices that inspire positive outcomes in engaging the youth and families in our work.

Additional Information: In lieu of a printed program we will be using the Guidebook app so watch your inbox for information on how to get this app set up before you arrive at the Hotel Roanoke. You will receive a detailed Know Before You Go a week before the conference. Please contact edensley@vt.edu if you have not received this email by October 11, 2024.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the program start date. A $30 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email or by initiating a drop request through the student portal in our online registration system. As an alternative to a refund, you may send a substitute at no additional cost. Please contact us at 540-231-5182 or e-mail cpeinfo@vt.edu to request a substitution. Please note: refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received on or after the program start date. In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
