100801 - DBHDS Facilities Clinical Conference
Overview
The DBHDS State Facilities Clinical Conference is the first conference of its kind for clinical staff at DBHDS state facilities. DBHDS state facilities serve as the safety net for individuals in Virginia experiencing acute behavioral health crises at our nine state behavioral health inpatient facilities; provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or medical and nursing needs at our training center and medical/long-term care facility; and provide rehabilitation to individuals who have committed sexual offenses at our center for behavioral rehabilitation. This conference, through engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and meaningful conversations, will enable participants to dive into a range of topics, including evidence-based models of care, ethics, trauma-informed care, and interventions for specialized populations. We are anticipating an audience of roughly 250 in-person participants, which will include individuals providing care at DBHDS state facilities, as well as DBHDS Central Office leaders.Location Information
