Overview

This training was developed by Dr. Margarita Calderón and Associates, and will present, model, and engage participants in research-based English Learner (EL) instructional strategies.  These EL strategies can be used to integrate academic language, reading comprehension, and writing strategies into the content classroom.

Attendees should include: Content teachers grades 2-12, EL teachers, Administrators - School teams are recommended.

Participants that have attended this training before are ineligible for this offering. 

Attendees must be able to participate on both September 24th and October 1st from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. 

This is a virtual session. All participants will require a laptop and a Zoom account. For those who already have Zoom installed, please make sure to update to the latest version - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

All necessary literature, materials, and instructions to access the virtual session (links) will be sent to attendees one week prior to the training.
