Overview

VACyberEduCon is a two-day cybersecurity education conference hosted by the Virginia Cyber Range. Some of the goals of this two-day event are to help educators “level up” in cybersecurity topics, teaching methods, networking with other teachers, and so much more. We typically attract 150 attendees, with potential to reach up to 180–215 depending on location (higher attendance expected in Northern Virginia). The program includes plenary sessions, concurrent breakouts, sponsor exhibits, and networking reception. This event rotates across Virginia higher education schools, including George Mason, VA Commonwealth University, and VT. We would be honored to have Northern Virginia Community College be the first community college to host our annual conference. Community colleges are becoming the backbone for practical cybersecurity education and we want to highlight this important role.
