Virginia Tech faculty and graduate students, as well as Maker Camp alumni will welcome middle school-aged students to a 4-day camp designed to harness students’ creativity and encourage them to act on their curiosity. Students will code, 3D-d model, document, build, and demonstrate what they design.

Registration and Schedule:
On-site check-in will be held on Tuesday, July 30th at 8:50 AM at the Virginia Tech Newman Library. Meet under the Torgersen Bridge on the Library side. We will have a table there.

Registration includes: daily camp activities.
Camp start time: 9:00 AM each day
Camp end time: 4:00 PM each day

For camp, you’ll need to complete the following:
Blanket Assent Form for ages 12-16 (beginning readers may use the 5-11 one)
Parent permission and consent – so that we may observe and ask parents about their observations and interactions with campers
Code of Conduct
Health history and emergency info

Parents: Please plan to attend the final concert and presentation at 2:45 Friday at the Moss Arts Center.

Food: Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunches, beverages, and snacks each day. There are water fountains available.

Cancellations/Substitutions: Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the program. No refunds will be issued, however, please let us know if your child is unable to attend for any reason, as there is a waiting list. In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments, inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees, if applicable, but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
