The Aspiring Superintendents Program (ASP) is designed specifically for executive level leaders in school divisions who aspire to become a school district superintendent. Focusing on exploring and developing the relevant skills, knowledge and commitment needed to succeed as a superintendent, ASP is intensive, active, results-oriented and provides a realistic job preview.
Participants will:

  • Increase awareness of the importance of building and nurturing relationships and communicating effectively
  • Expand and refine existing leadership capacity and acquire new skills 
  • Understand the search and interview process, conducting contract negotiations and entry planning
  • Demonstrate and understand the importance of ethical leadership

Fees:

  • Early Registration (ends November 1): $2,900
  • Standard fee: $3,200

The registration fee includes:

  • Conference materials
  • One night of lodging for Seminars I and II, two nights of lodging for Seminar III
  • One dinner and one lunch for Seminars I and II, one dinner and two lunches for Seminar III
  • Self-parking

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Requests for refunds will be honored when received fourteen calendar days prior to the program. A $300 administrative fee will be deducted for cancellations. Substitutions may be made prior to the program but not after the first workshop. In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies or other organizations.
