100569 - Southeast Controls Conference

Overview

The Southeast Controls Conference is in its 2nd year. Previously held at Georgia Tech, the conference is geared towards grad students and their advisors. The purpose of the Southeast Controls Conference is to provide an inexpensive venue for students and faculty in the Southeast to get together, share ideas, and for students to present research results. The Conference is orientated towards students (and their faculty advisors) who conduct research in dynamical systems and control theory as well as controls-related disciplines. A key mission of the conference is to better train graduate students and post-doctoral researchers for productive and visible careers in industry, research labs, and academia. In support of this mission, Oral and poster presentations are exclusively given by graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. The Southeast Controls Conference will be comprised of twenty-minute talks and a single, one and half-hour long poster presentation session. A banquet, multiple breaks, and a tour of Virginia Tech campus will allow attendees to interact and exchange ideas.
