Overview

The workshop will be led by Steven Duke. Dr. Duke is the President of the Institute for Cross- Cultural Teaching and Learning, and Associate Vice President at the University of Nebraska system. Previously, Dr. Duke led the Virginia Tech Education Abroad office. He created and spearheaded the annual Workshop on Intercultural Skills Enhancement (WISE) Conference at Wake Forest University. Dr. Duke’s publications include Preparing to Study Abroad: Learning to Cross Cultures (Stylus, 2014) and The Importance of Intercultural Learning in Study Abroad, in T. Milby and J. Rhodes, ed. Advancing Teacher Education and Curriculum Development through Study Abroad Programs (IGI Global, 2015, pp. 73-88).
