In February, March and April of 2022, Dr Marc Fishman facilitated a workshop for public and private practitioners on Using the ASAM Criteria as a Treatment Matching Tool for Adlescents. This training builds upon the previous training by examining the historical and theoretical approaches of the principles of addiction counseling through a youth focused lens. It explores the contextual dimensions of adolescent substance use and recovery, while unpacking and making tangible community and family engagement.
This series will provide practical tools for clinical management of problem substance use in adolescents and young adults in the context of general practice, strategies for engagement of their families and guidance navigating the specialty treatment system.
