Equitable Services for Private Schools Training

The Virginia Department of Education will offer a two-day training to provide technical assistance to school divisions and private school officials in understanding equitable participation requirements for private school students, teachers, and other educational personnel in applicable ESEA programs. The training will explore general ESEA federal provisions for private school participation. Day one will focus on school division requirements and best practices with repeating breakout sessions. Day two will include keynote speaker Christopher Kelly, Equitable Services USED Consultant. . Private school officials are encouraged to attend the second day of training. Plenary sessions will focus on effective consultation, planning, fiscal management, and ombudsman communication.
