Overview

The training program will provide an overview of neurodivergent youth and their increased risk for substance use and misuse. Participants will gain an understanding of the various neurodivergent conditions and how they may impact a youth’s vulnerability to substance use and addiction. Participants will learn about evidence-based interventions and approaches that are effective in supporting neurodivergent youth in substance use prevention and treatment.  
 
Overall, this training is designed to help professionals who work with youth gain a better understanding of the unique challenges and needs of neurodivergent youth who struggle with substance use and addiction, and how to provide effective support and treatment for this population.

Agenda/Schedule

This program will be held on Tuesdays from 9:45am-1:00pm; September 12, 19 and 26, 2023 and participants should plan to attend all three sessions to get the maximum benefit from the training.
