Virginia Tech School of Neuroscience
warmly invites undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and faculty from all institutions in Virginia and the surrounding region to attend and present at the CVCSN 2024 conference on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Blacksburg, VA.
 
Come to hear about the latest neuroscience research from our region! 
Plenary talks will be given by Dr. Sarah Blythe (Washington and Lee University), Dr. Maged Harraz (University of Maryland School of Medicine), and Dr. Katie Schretter (Janelia Research Campus). 
Talks and posters from all levels will be distributed throughout the day and roughly organized by SfN theme:

Theme A: Development
Theme B: Neural Excitability, Synapses, and Glia
Theme C: Neurodegenerative Disorders and Injury
Theme D: Sensory Systems
Theme E: Motor Systems
Theme F: Integrative Physiology and Behavior
Theme G: Motivation and Emotion
Theme H: Cognition
Theme I: Techniques
Theme J: History, Education and Society

Breakfast, coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Posters will be hung throughout the day for viewing and informal conversations outside of assigned presentation times. Hotel information can be found here . A comprehensive agenda will be available shortly. 

The registration deadline is Friday, March 15th, 2024. One registration fee covers the cost of the conference: $25 for undergraduate and post-bachelor students, $50 for graduate students and postdocs, and $100 for faculty. Non-Virginia Tech participants are allowed to use credit cards for the registration fee. Virginia Tech participants must use HokieMart or their personal cards for payment of the registration fee.

Financial assistance is available to waive the registration fee for undergraduate and post-bachelor students. The deadline to apply the financial assistance is March 13th, 2024. Click here to apply. If you qualify to receive the waiver, you will receive a code that will allow you to proceed with registration.

If you plan to present your work, please submit the presentation title and abstract here  by Friday, March 15th, 2024.
