Overview

The Virginia Tech Emerging Leaders Academy program is designed for high-potential Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism employees, new supervisors and managers, who wish to grow professionally and develop their leadership skills. Participants attend four workshops over the course of 4 months. These interactive workshops will be delivered in-person at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center, to a cohort of up to 12 participants in each workshop. Each participant will receive an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) assessment with the results applied within the workshops and a professional coaching session, which connects the leadership lessons in the classroom to the participant’s leadership skills and goals in the workplace.

Location Information

Workshops will be delivered at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center located at 108 N. Jefferson Street, Suite 701, Roanoke, VA 24016 (7th Floor of the Roanoke Higher Education Center building).
