Do you need to brush up on your applied math skills? Do you understand the basic sciences associated with water treatment operations? Nearly everyone who works at a waterworks facility is facing these challenges.

This course covers the math and science of real-world, water treatment applications. It is an intensive course that builds from introductory, basic skills to the application of many important principles. Topics may include the calculation of chemical feed rates, interpreting pump curves, interpreting water quality data, selecting the best coagulant dosage, calculating filter rates, interpreting water treatment regulations, and much more.

You will receive 35 contact hours upon completion.

Lodging: If you registered for the single occupancy lodging option, a reservation will be made in your name at The Westin Richmond for the nights of June 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. This room is intended for the use of the registered participant for the purposes of the training program.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the program start date. A $30 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email or by initiating a drop request through the student portal in our online registration system. As an alternative to a refund, you may send a substitute at no additional cost. Please contact us at 540-231-5182 or e-mail cpeinfo@vt.edu to request a substitution. Please note: refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received on or after the program start date. 

In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.

Additional Information: Registration includes daily refreshment breaks and lunch, as well as dinner on night one.
