The Mid-Atlantic Public Works Institute is necessary training for those in, or aspiring to be in key leadership positions in the public works field. Whether you are a team member on a small project or managing a multi-million dollar budget, it means coordinating, communicating, scheduling, and maintaining focus. Blending academic theory with the real-life processes, technologies, hard and soft management skills, and the best learning methodologies, MPWI can empower you to become a more effective leader and team member and to be confident in your ability to strategically execute projects and programs.

Lodging rooms are available for $96/night plus applicable taxes at the Hyatt Place Innsbrook. Reservations can be made by calling in to 804-747-9644 and mentioning the Mid-Atlantic Public Works Institute.  Check-in is at 3:00PM.  Check out is at 11: 00 a.m.  Late check out from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. will be assessed ½ the day’s rate.  Check out after 4 p.m. will be assessed a full day’s rate.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the program start date. A $30 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email or by initiating a drop request through the student portal in our online registration system. As an alternative to a refund, you may send a substitute at no additional cost. Please contact us at 540-231-5182 or e-mail cpeinfo@vt.edu to request a substitution. Please note: refunds will not be issued for no-shows or for cancellations received on or after the program start date. 

In the unlikely event that this program is cancelled or postponed due to insufficient enrollments or unforeseen circumstances, the university will fully refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.
